Damon Name, Proprietor
Probably the most popular bar on the shore. During the weekends and
always during the summer, this place is a haven for drunken
youngsters college-age-to-mid-30s looking for a good time, and
it is always a grand party. You may even be able to find the
man or woman of your dreams in here, at least for the night.
DJ spins top 40 music. Friday nights feature domestic beer and
well drinks for $1.50 and free bar food from 5pm to Midnight.
Beware: during the summer the main bar room gets packed; we
are talking packed like a huge sardine can,
shoulder-to-shoulder! Fortunately, there are four very
different rooms and an outside patio (seasonal). Simple décor,
simple fun. If the place gets too crowded downstairs, there's
most likely refuge somewhere upstairs. Don’t forget the kitchen serves hearty servings
of beef and chicken, and a huge crab cake. Open daily from
11am-‘til. Tavern open noon - 4 am. (Cash only). Bender

Once
the best club on the shore for local bands, Omar’s has
simmered down some as far as the live music is concerned.
However, on weekends you might be able to catch some of the
areas best rock-n’-roll, funk, or punk bands. But beware:
some amateur bands debut here also. Omar’s is most happening
during the summer. Located in the Margate bay-area nightlife
district, Omar’s has a four pool tables, darts, TVs, a nice
