Harrah's Atlantic City holds a unique place in Atlantic City's casino industry. In addition to serving as the first casino to open in the Marina District, away from the sometimes congested Boardwalk, Harrah's was also just the second Atlantic City casino hotel to be built from the ground up. Having evolved via several renovation and expansion projects, Harrah's remains a state-of-the-art resort, featuring three 16-story hotel towers and a multi-level complex that houses the casino, restaurants, theater, meeting rooms, and recreational facilities. Parking is available in Harrah's 2,400 car parking garage, which is connected to the casino by a glass-covered walkway. Valet parking also is conveniently available at both the hotel entrance and casino entrance.

Since Harrah's Atlantic City is located away from the Boardwalk, Harrah's planners decided to bring the best of the Boardwalk to the property, assembling 20,000 square feet of wood planking on the bay side of the complex. This re-creation, called The Baywalk, overlooks Harrah's 65-slip Harbor and provides guests with a panoramic view of the beautiful and serene Absecon Waterway.

The casino floor itself has a good mixture of slots and table games. The atmosphere is casually elegant and lively. They have a Rock n’ roll blackjack pit that plays music and has festive events.
