Located
on Mississippi Ave. and the Boardwalk the Trump Plaza Hotel and Casino is
simpler and more intimate than
Trump’s other properties like the Taj Mahal. The Plaza maintains a
unique style and elegance as it represents Trump’s first experiment with
the casino industry.
Inside,
the gaming facilities consist of numerous slot machines intermingled with
a variety of table games, ranging from the heavily frequented blackjack
and roulette tables to the more complex Caribbean
stud poker and baccarat tables.
Table
betting limits generally run on the more expensive side, but, not unlike
most Atlantic City casinos, lower betting limit tables can be located
usually during the day-light hours, especially during weekdays. The gaming
floor itself is not an architectural wonder, but it has style and
character and caters to differential tastes.
Trump
Plaza is constantly expanding with new and different developments to serve
its diverse clientele. For instance, the plaza is home to a brand new
complete salon facility aptly named "The Salon". Located on the
7th floor, the new 2,720 square foot salon features many
international amenities and a professionally trained staff.
The
ambiance of the new facility welcomes both male and female clients for a
variety of services with a premium placed on customer satisfaction. There
is a dedicated area for hair styling and make-up applications, a separate
chemical area for permanents and other chemical services, an area for hair
drying, two facial rooms, two multi-purpose rooms, and several custom
European sinks for shampooing in addition to mobile nail stations and
plush pedicure chairs.
Another
new feature inside the Plaza is the Shangri-La, a brand-new Asian casino
located just over the skywalk from the self-park garage. Table games
featured in the new Shangri-La include: 7 Mini Baccarat, 4 Pai Gow Poker,
2 Pai Gow Tiles and 1 Baccarat.
Contiguous
to the Asian casino is the new Shangri-La Café, formerly known as the
Westside Café. The new café has an expanded menu Asian menu featuring
elegant dishes ranging from Chinese foods to Korean and Vietnamese foods,
as well as a brand new 10-seat Sushi Bar. The café also offers a variety
of "American" foods, including burgers, pasta, sandwiches and
salads. The Shangri-La Café features live Asian and Karaoke entertainment
on weekends
